Location:

Montafon is located in the south of Vorarlberg, bordering Switzerland, in the state of Vorarlberg. The charming mountain village of Gaschurn is located at the end of the Montafon valley. In summer, this village offers access to the beautiful Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse.

Winter activities: Experience a range of winter activities, such as winter hiking, skiing/snowboarding on the slopes of the Silvretta Montafon or Brandnertal ski areas, cross-country skiing, and tobogganing—everything is possible in this modern ski area.

Snow guarantee: Silvretta Montafon guarantees snow up to an altitude of 2,430 meters. This ski area connects several ski villages, including St. Gallenkirch, Gargellen, and Schruns, with a total of 140 km of slopes.

Summer activities: Thanks to its 39-kilometer-long valley, Montafon offers a complete mountain experience. The literal highlight is the Piz Buin, at 3,312 meters the highest mountain in the region. Hiking, climbing, via ferrata, swimming, and (e-)mountain biking are fantastic summer activities.

Shopping: The valley comprises eight authentic villages where you can find everything you need. The cozy shopping center of Bürs is a short distance away, while nearby Bludenz offers a wide range of shops. The larger cities of Bregenz, Feldkirch, and Dornbirn are also well worth exploring.

Accessibility: Montafon is easily accessible by car, just 860 km from Utrecht. The airports of Zurich and Innsbruck are easily accessible by train, making flying to this region very convenient.
