-
Spain
-
Rental
A law from June 2024 has changed the way to register and publish tourist rent in all the Spanish territory. It consists in a new registration number to be obtained, even if the property had already obtained a Tourist License. This implies that every tourist license must pass from this new registration. In addition, as a positive point, this law opens the possibility to “seasonal rent” to be published in digital platforms as AirBnB. Before this law, it was not legally possible to publish seasonal rent in AirBnB.
Knowing the process of the new registration and the concept of “seasonal rent” is essential now to rent a property in Spain for property owners.

-
Tax/legal
The start of your foreign adventure often includes the purchase of a property abroad. For some, this adventure starts with the purchase of a holiday home that may later turn into a permanent home, while others aim to purchase a foreign property with a view to emigrating. For instance, we ask whether it is best to finance the property or not, which procedure applies abroad for the purchase, which questions you need to ask beforehand, which taxes to take into account, etc.
