Costa Blanca North or South: Where to buy a house?

  • Process
  • Spain

Thinking of buying a second home in Spain? The Costa Blanca is rightly a popular destination of many Dutch people. There are beautiful beaches, beautiful sights and the sun shines almost all year round on the Costa Blanca. The World Health Organization does not call it “the healthiest region in Europe” for nothing.

Northern Costa Blanca

Spain’s Costa Blanca is a vast area. The north runs from Denia to Alicante, the south from Alicante to Pilar de la Horadada. How do you choose between the north and the south if you want to buy a house on the Costa Blanca? Both north and south have beautiful cities and a lot to see and experience. The northern Costa Blanca has more mountains close to the sea. As a result, there are many bays and different types of beaches. Here it rains a little more (still not much!), making it greener than the south. In the mountains there are authentic, cozy villages from where you have a beautiful view.

The south of the Costa Blanca

The south of the Costa Blanca is a flatter region. You will find wide, beautiful sandy beaches and several saltwater lakes. Many beautiful towns and sights here as well, just like in the north. The mountains, which start about 20 kilometers from the sea, surround the area. This makes it a very healthy climate, for example, for people suffering from ailments and problems of the muscles, joints and lungs.

The south is a drier region than the north of the Costa Blanca. The vegetation is less green, but with all the more palm trees and orange trees. Both areas are interesting and beautiful anyway to buy a second home in Spain. Enjoy the good life on the Spanish Costa Blanca to the fullest!
